About Jennifer King

Immersed in the art world is just where Jennifer King wants to be. Publisher and editor of the online artists' magazine www.CreateBetterPaintings.com, Jennifer has also served as the editor of four other leading art-instruction magazines in the US: The Artist's Magazine, International Artist, Plein Air and Fine Art Connoisseur.

Over more than 10 years in the art publishing business, she has had the opportunity to meet and interview many of the finest living artists of our times, including Will Barnet, Harvey Dinnerstein, Daniel E. Greene, Clyde Aspevig, Sam Adoquei, Scott Christensen, Everett Raymond Kinstler, Mary Beth Mackenzie, Dean Mitchell, Robert Moore, and many others. She has edited art-instruction books with such bestselling authors as Tom Lynch, Dan McCaw, C.W. Mundy, Carole Katchen, Carlton Plummer, Wende Caporale, and more. Jennifer is also known for her discerning eye as a juror for such organizations as the Arts for the Parks, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society, and many more.

Inspired by their passion for art, Jennifer King returned to her own love of painting, studying with figurative painter Tina Tammaro. Through this experience, she discovered her affinity for landscape painting, which for her, acts as a visual metaphor for human emotion. When she's not working outdoors, she works from her home studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. She continues to serve as a lecturer and competition juror for various art organizations across the country. Jennifer is represented by the Pendleton Art Gallery in Newport, Kentucky, and the Wheat Ridge Gallery in Winchester, Ohio.

Jennifer's passion for painting informs and shapes her two most important long-term commitments: creating a valuable online resource for artists—this webzine—and using her experience in the art world to raise awareness for the need to protect our environment.
